Specialized management for elderly patients with cancer
Les Orchidées Clinic is setting up a new Onco-Geriatric Day Hospitalization, dedicated to cancer patients:
- +65 polypathological years, or
- +75 years without comorbidities.
This device is intended for people requiring a complete onco-geriatric assessment, in order to adapt their treatments and improve their quality of life. This initiative reflects the clinic’s desire to offer personalized care, consistent with the specific needs of frail elderly patients.
A multidisciplinary organization for a complete evaluation
Our Day Hospital allows medical and nursing teams to complete all necessary evaluations in just half a day, assessing overall health, functional abilities, and specific care requirements. This ensures seamless coordination between oncologists, geriatricians, nurses, and allied health professionals, delivering high-quality, structured care.
A complementary offer to the oncological course
The Onco‑Geriatric Day Hospital complements other services already offered by the clinic:
- Pre‑treatment Oncology Day Hospital
- Oncology Pain Day Hospital
- Post‑Treatment HDJ (SALTO)
A regular organization within the Calypso service
Sessions run every other Friday (even-numbered weeks) in the Calypso Unit, providing regularity and making it easier for patients and staff to plan their schedules.
A strong commitment to the quality and safety of care
At Clinique Les Orchidées, we are committed to excellent care and patient well-being. This new service ensures a thorough, personalised assessment combined with coordinated follow-up, blending medical expertise with a compassionate, patient-centred approach to the cancer care journey.
