The first 1,000 days, from conception to two years of age, are a critical period for health, child development and parents' adaptation to this new stage of life.
This fundamental time is today recognized as a major public health issue, both medically and psycho-social.
Antenatal HDJ 'Essential': calmly prepare for childbirth
Organization of the journey before birth
Proposed between 33 and 35 weeks of amenorrhea, this antenatal HDJ is intended for patients wishing to give birth at Les Orchidées Maternity. It allows to group, over a half-day, several key stages of the antenatal journey:
- Midwife consultation
- Anesthesia consultation
- Administrative pre-admission
- Dietetic workshop
- Adapted physical activity workshop
- Lunch planned on site
Sessions organized every Thursday, starting from 20 November.
Post-natal HDJ 'Parenthesis': accompanying parents after birth
Organization of postpartum follow-up
This post-natal HDJ is offered from one month after childbirth to patients who have given birth at Maternité Les Orchidées. It aims to accompany parents in the postpartum period, addressing both medical, emotional and practical aspects:
- Pediatric consultation
- Post-natal consultation with a midwife
- Workshop led by a childcare assistant (diet, sleep, rhythm...)
- Osteopathy consultation (mother and baby)
- Prevention of plagiocephaly
- Meal planned on site
- Possible participation of babies and co-parents
Post-natal HDJ «Equilibre»: enhanced follow-up after a complex birth
This specific postnatal HDJ is intended for patients who have experienced a complex delivery or an obstetrical history that may impact the post-partum, particularly in case of:
- Emergency cesarean section or under general anesthesia,
- Postpartum hemorrhage,
- Resuscitation of the newborn,
- Upset anesthesia project,
- High score on the EPDS questionnaire.
Reinforced multidisciplinary support
The program includes:
- Postpartum anesthesia consultation
- Midwifery consultation
- Auxiliary childcare consultation
- Speaking group led by the Perinatal Unit
- Welcome by the LAEP Kaz Timoun
- Meal planned on site
- Possible participation of babies and co-parents
