World Parents' Day at the Les Orchidées Clinic
Le Port, 7 June 2025 - To mark World Parents' Day, the Les Orchidées maternity unit at the Clinique Les Orchidées, part of the CLINIFUTUR health group, invited families from across Réunion to a day of exchanges, information and meetings about parenthood. From 10am to 4.30pm, expectant and new parents were able to discover the world of maternity, talk to the teams and attend themed conferences.
Nearly 90 participants took advantage of the guided tours to discover the facilities, ask questions and gain a better understanding of the support offered throughout the birth process.

A maternity unit committed to serving families
Since the transfer on 16 January 2023 of all gynaecology-obstetrics activities and the Centre d'Aide Médicale à la Procréation du Port from the Clinique Jeanne d'Arc to the Clinique Les Orchidées, the establishment has strengthened its position as a reference centre in the west of the island. With a level 2A maternity unit and a neonatology department, the clinic is continuing its mission of providing comprehensive, high-quality, local support.
Meeting the expectations of today's parents
At a time when there is a growing need for parents to be listened to, supported and accompanied, the maternity hospital is stepping up its initiatives to help families. The event on 7 June is fully in line with this approach, offering a special time dedicated to parents and those close to them.

Information stands: Breastfeeding, parenthood, physical activity, osteopathy, sexology, Diabetes Day Hospital - in the presence of clinic teams and committed partners.

This day is supported by local organisations involved in the well-being of families, such as the Maison de l'Enfance et de la Parentalité (MEP) and the Lieu d'Accueil Enfants Parents (LAEP), which have come together to enrich the discussions.

With its new identity, the Les Orchidées Maternity Hospital puts caring, listening, gentleness and expertise at the heart of its support. The event on 7 June illustrates this desire to offer a personalised birth experience, centred on the needs and choices of women and families, in line with the expectations expressed by the region.
